£20 million?  Take it.  That could get Forest the 5-6 players they need to finish building the team for this season.

If Forest paid £13 million for him...getting £20 million would be a handsome return for 'only' having the player for 6 months.

If that's how the club are going to do business from now on, it augers well for the running of and the revenue of the club in future.

To have their own 'chief scout' who can make these kind of deals, develop the player and sell them on...might be why the whispers of a 'Sporting Director' are coming from.

This is a potential area of growth for Forest (i.e. being run as a business rather than the historic 'corner shop.'

It would certainly be a change of approach from the club. In the past the selling of our best players has been because the club (or owner) needed the cash.

If Cav is sold for 20m and then that reinvested in the squad then its a progressive strategy.

Of course, the replacements have to be decent otherwise it quickly becomes regressive!

I can't see us selling if the rumour is true. Only way it makes sense to me is if the club needs funds for a new manager to reshape the team and that manager is one who doesn't use a traditional number 10 a la Jokanovic.
