Oly paid around £1.5M for Kapino, we got him on a free. 6 months later we make a 7 figure profit on him.

Is this an 'above board' way to operate or might we be investigated?

Tachtisidis for free seems by far the best value signing, if our £13m signing is worth this, comparatively Tachtisidis has to be worth £10m to £20m, I mean he's 27, he can curl a ball with power, and score with left, right and head, I think he could play anywhere and would also be awesome off the bench.  Like all good players he would thrive with quality all around him.  I'd hope if we played Brentford away again AK would have the confidence to set up to destroy, this is the question and his last 55 games says he will always play in a predictably defensive formation.  I feel a hint of optimism, the Chairman might even tell him to set up to win now, ie no excuses.

Had a thought. In order to pass his fit and proper test Marinakis mave have been asked by the EFL to give an assurance that he wouldn't transfer players from Oly for nothing and then sell them here for high sums as part of a cunning FFP plan. 

By asking players to cancel their contracts and then sign for us as free agents, that would be a bit of a dodge around it.

For now I will look at this in the totally opposite maybe idealistic utopia vision of what the EFL like to see ...

EFL clubs owners doing everything to stay within FFP, strengthening the EFL club and the bottom line bringing revenue into the EFL club as well as stability and success

This is the basis of my enthusiasm for having Marinakis as our owner, Olympiakos are probably around 90% of achieving there full success potential

I'd guess a business analyst can see the potential for a club like NFFC and probably forecast we are only at around 30%.  Marinakis will be far more excited about our potential for success .. the bottom line being profitability, but also as a fan and achieving ambition .. winning promotion, cups etc

Ultimately as a profitable brand NFFC has not just huge unfulfilled potential as to where we are now but even compared to huge European heavyweights, NFFC has more appeal globally than teams like Olympiakos

I definitely see no conflict with the EFL, assuming in the purist sense it wants EFL clubs to have sound financial stability, I don't think anything can surpass having a rich tycoon who just so happens to own a huge football club in another country with no conflicts whatsoever ... until the day we qualify for European competition ... then we have he has a nice problem with the inertia for NFFC that it will be unlikely we will be asset stripped in anyway to support Olympiakos ... unless they fell significantly from grace

I only see a win win win having Marinakis and long may the good valuable asset increasing gifts continue

When he is sold in the summer I will be surprised if we get more than 1M.

It was more of a business deal than a football deal.
