The List Of Positive Things Ahead Of The New Season

Right, the new season is about to start and as always there is a lot of nervy people around which is understandable. Some like to take a negative spin on things and some like to stay positive (at least as long as it is possible). I'm in the second group and I have therefore created a list of positive things to keep in mind going into a very existing and hopefully rewarding season. 

I have not created a list of negative things as there are many other posters that are far more suited to create that kind of list. 

My list of positive things:

• No more surprises for Sabri. He knows all about the Championship this time around
  
• Sabri has gotten HIS preferred coaching and backroom team in place
  
• Finally, some continuity at Forest as we start the season with the same manager as started the previous one
  
• The team's defensive structure were established last season and hopefully Sabri can focus a bit more on the attacking part of the game
  
• Last season's heartbreak end should be a huge motivating factor for the team - 100% focus all the time
  
• Finally, two new capable strikers to take some of the pressure off Grabban
  
• Long term target Freeman recruited that could prove to be the final piece in the puzzle - that creative spark
  
• Some much needed quality added to the midfield in Colback and Fred which should bring steel, mobility and urgency
  
• Darikwa back from injury and he has the potential to take over from Cash - he has got the pace and willingness to attack
  
• Da Costa should be fully acclimatized to the Championship now - could prove to be one of the standout players next season
  
• It seems like we have corrected our recruitment strategy - our old pal Mendes seems to have disappeared :-)
  
• Mighten and Johnson were introduced to the first team last season and they should be ready to contribute a lot more this season
  
• We have the best keeper in the league
  
• We have a settled CB pairing that is one of the best in the league
  
• We have one of the best strikers in the league
  
• We have at least one of the best wingers in the league
  
• We now have a bigger and better squad and according to rumors more players are on the way

A 2nd successive pre=season.
A 2nd successive season of building the squad with the same Coach in charge.
Actual season upon season building.
Time.
Experienced Championship quality players with some recruitment from the Premier.
Experienced players with 'older heads' on them to flesh out the squad's younger players.
Mighten. Johnson. Yates.
3 actual strikers. Different types. Depth for a long season.
1 rough and tumble muck and nettles striker. (What took them so long?)
A plan b?
Recruitment all along the spine to add depth. Recruitment actually looking at what is required for this league and recruiting accordingly.

The Club's Leadership. Each season, despite the frustrating, we're getting stronger on and off the field.

Agree, having the same manager after more than a year in charge must be a huge positive for the team and club. Finally some stability.

I could have added the plans for the new stand and refurbing the 'New City Ground.'  The new sponsorship deals over the last season or two.  (ie commercial work being done...)
