Next up is big spending Spurs at the City Ground on Saturday 5th September.
Kick off is at 3pm.
I wonder if both Delap and Diomande will start this one?

Really looking forward to this one, a week on the training ground, munoz settled in,diomande building his fitness and on the back of a much improved display at Liverpool I think we will see our first victory of the season Saturday.
I would leave everything as it was other than delap starting, Aina played well at Liverpool so should keep his shirt from the start and bring Munoz on after an hour. Cunha deserves to keep his place too.
My only concern at the minute is milenkovic dropping deep behind everyone else enabling teams to put through balls down the flanks playing people onside, that back 3 line needs to be better and more in sync.

I was thinking maybe OG will go with same team as last weekend bar maybe Sangare in for Schlager. Munoz and Delap to come on as second half subs. Would feel a bit harsh on Aina and Jesus to not start them this week after good performances but then suppose same could be said re Schlager

Be really interesting to see how the midfield two perform.
I was at Anfield last weekend and didn’t personally see a MOTM performance from McAtee, he did some things very well but at times was sloppy and got caught out, which you can’t do in a more deep lying role.
It was interesting to see that Van Dijk and Jacquet completed a combined 36 passes into the final third against us, Guehi (for City) was the next highest with 16, which to me reinforces how deep and flat our two back lines are, and the gap between the two 10s and the two 6s. This needs to improve or we’ll continue to concede lots of chances like the first Liverpoo goal, which was terrible defensively.
I’m sure that, if fit, Van de Ven will relish that space in front of him, and a fit Kudus is great and getting in behind defenders.
I personally hope he starts Delap on Saturday but I think it would be harsh to drop any from N’Doye, IJ or MGW.

That’s a bit misleading as Liverpool were actually behind. If you look at the first half - the passing stats are less impressive for Liverpool with lots of sideways and poor line breaking numbers.
