Think we are lucky that JWP’s suspension will come against a team where Yates and Anderson are more than Capable of playing as a double pivot hopefully with MGW fit and 2 of our wingers on the pitch we can play on the front foot and get at them from the start

Palace are going to find some form at some point....

And hopefully we are going to find some cutting edge at home.
A springboard opportunity. Let’s hope we take it and create some momentum.

It is a great apportunity to put 6 points on the board next week, Nuno will certainly have the boys going in to it with the right mindset.
The first win at home would be a big boost before heading to Leicester.

This game has a similar scenario to it as the Fulham game did. A great result against one of the high flying big 6, then a somewhat less appealing opponent at home. We know what happened with Fulham!
Palace will not roll over to have their bellies tickled by Forest and if anybody thinks otherwise, they are seriously deluded. We need to assert our game plan from the get-go and go at Palace, but not to the point we are leaving ourselves exposed at the back. WE need to be determined from the off and not back off the pace. WE need to hit them hard from the start, get our fans roaring and we can win this. A lacklustre start will shut our fans up and the atmosphere will turn flat. This is when opponents go at us. The team needs to keep our fans engaged and vocal. Our fans need to step up their vocal support if the team do start to drop off. We need to start getting results at home to complement the results we are getting on the road. The City Ground can be one of the most intimidating stadiums in the country, if not the world, when our fans are at it. It can become a fortress that teams hate to come to. It has got to start this coming Monday night........................ but please lets not get complacent!

I was more worried about the Fulham game then I was the Brighton game for some reason
Hopefully this stat could be encouraging if nuno goes for both of them in the middle With no palace players within the sample of players could show why they’re struggling

I don't know if I'm a negative Nelly but I think this game will result in a draw or defeat with a flat atmosphere and few chances.
Hopefully we play both wingers and use our pace and width to cause problems. Fans have a part to play but also I think the players need to give us some intensity to turn the corner. If we can get an early goal the place will be rocking. All tough to balance without conceding and MGW possibly sidelined although Jota could be perfect for this game with his direct approach. |
