Generally not a happy hunting ground for us and they seem to be in decent form. Tactically it's a bit of a conundrum. Do we go there to try and outplay them and risk a potential hammering as they exploit the space in behind or do we start with the low block? It's possibly the only ground I've never seen us win at, so I'm not expecting much. Remember 2 occasions we've been 2 up and still lost (with sh1te reffing contributing as per normal with that place).

I'd snap your hand off for a point. Fullback selections will be interesting as Serge is very inconsistent at present, Neco hasn't played much, Aina and Toff both culpable in part for the goals given away at weekend and Montiel out I believe?

I'd probably go Serge and Aina, but Toff has done OK so might get nod but purely because of pace and covering in behind I'd go:-

I just can't see how he doesn't go back to the 3 at the back for this game. For a start, CB is a position where we have numbers right now. Means we have Elanga to come off the bench later in the game too. Although based on recent games, I'm not sure the 3rd CB named will be popular!

Can see it being the above but more 5311. Dont think Sangare is a wide forward really. We miss Danilo because he does give that midfield/forward option.

Hopefully Taiwo off the bench for 20 mins vs his old club?

I agree he definitely isn't a wide forward, but I think Cooper will want those 3 in and around the midfield still. Maybe Dominguez could play a bit higher.
Having Taiwo and Elanga off the bench for 20/30 minutes if we are still in the game would be very handy!

If you look what Coops does away against a top 6 side, it will be a back 5, with a midfield box.

Completely shut off the middle of the pitch to stop Liverpool playing through us.

Listened to Rodney Marsh yesterday on a show here called "grumpy pundits" he said that he wouldn't be surprised if Liverpool "stuffed Nottingham Forest 5 or 6 nil" He never seems to have a good word for Forest whenever the subject comes up and neither does his buddy Tom Rennie.

To be fair he is probably right.

Having said that it wouldn't be a surprise either if we lost by the odd goal.

I will be a bit surprised if we come away with a point and I will be very very surprised if we come away with all 3 points.

Weirdly this was the game last year where the first flickers of survival started even though we didn’t realise it at the time. We took the game to them and were unlucky not to get a point at least, but for some dodgy defending would have done.
Think both sides have improved, will accept a narrow defeat if we put in another performance. Hopefully not a lame surrender and hammering.
