Safe Standing At The City Ground?
#1

The Football League expects fans to be once again allowed to stand at matches in all four divisions of English football by this time next year.

With the issue of safe standing set to be debated in parliament next week, the League’s chief executive, Shaun Harvey, believes that a consensus between football stakeholders and supporters means it is now “illogical and outdated” not to give clubs the choice to reintroduce standing to their grounds.

So, with the above in mind:

Where would you like the safe standing area to be at the City Ground and would you use it?
Would it help to create a better atmosphere?

Bridgford Lower seems the logical choice, everyone stands in there all game anyway.

I would hope that they would make the whole of the Lower Bridgford a safe standing area and that it would be all for Forest fans only and move the away fans somewhere else, I am sure it can be done if there is a strong enough passion to do it.

What an atmosphere that could potenially create.

Well as long as they keep some sitting areas around the ground. Sitting is easier with kids as they can actually see past/over people and watch the game.

-1 Bad Idea

My days of being stood up for 90 minutes are a distant bloody memory stick it behind the goal for the young uns and those daft enough to think they are young uns, leave me my seat and blanket alone please

I vote for a safe drinking area instead far more use

Make LB and Main stand safe standing and everywhere else not then everyone has an option. Alternatively I do like the idea of making the whole of lower bridgeford standing/ours. It would be good if Forest took a lead on this given the circumstances surrounding the initial reasons for the ban on standing.

Ultimately everyone stands anyway and you can stand at gigs and there’s no issues so I see no reason in modern society why we can’t stand at football. Having designated standing areas would only improve the situation for people that do need to sit for whatever reason.
