I get that but they employed him, surely remit should have been agreed at the outset. I merely perceive that all is not as rosy in the running of the club that some would have us believe...
The backing of Sabri - while commendable is also not consistent with previous decisions either- Karanka sacked after being top half and having encouraging performances / style... O’Neil sacked after finishing relatively strongly in the league. The form of last 10 games is the poorest under this regime yet seemingly backed to the hilt. I hope that this is just hangover and transitioning new players into the squad but no goals in 3 games and very poor defending doesn’t bode well. Perhaps it is just the change curve whereas you get a dip before sustainable gains in performance. We may go on to become a very strong side that gets stronger as the season progresses and perform well at the business end of the season. I really hope that is the case but sadly I can’t see it and have seen a steep decline with no signs of improvement. The second 45 could be argued as a sign of improvement but I’m not buying that- Cardiff allowed us that.

All I am saying is that managers have been sacked for less. Looking at the recruitment in isolation you can make a case for each and every signing. We have a strong squad on paper. I just hope it is teething issues and Sabri sorts it out and we get some results soon. I just don’t see any signs from the Last 10 matches I’ve seen and it worries me.
I will leave it now- had too much time on my hands this weekend so probably over thinking it.

Karanka wasn't sacked Ozzy. He decided to walk just like he always does.
O'Neil was sacked because he wanted to run the club from top to bottom. Not happening in this day and age.

So why didn't he sack Keane and get a new assistant?

-as I’ve said Sniffer, I’ve had too much time this weekend to wallow in yet another disappointing result. The news of McKenna being sought today shows that we are at least identifying the areas we need to strengthen and nobody can deny the investment this close season. Where is the £ coming from though?
Well we’re clearly not flush with cash Oz - but we are substantially in credit thus far this window.
And - with several on their way out of the door - I don’t believe funds to be an issue ( we’ll know in a couple of weeks I guess ).
