Get the feeling that dyche will be to the 2020s as Martin O'Neill was to the 2000s. We will probably hire him in 2041

Silva was relegated with Hull but that was a tough gig. Started well at Watford but got head hunted by Everton at which point Watford results fell off a cliff and he was sacked. Got 8th place finish with Everton which is their par for the course then sacked the following season.
Basically he has hardly set the world on fire and no Championship experience.

He has made some very ordinary players look like championship players. For me the fault really does lie with whoever does the transfer targets. With Cash and Carvalho rumoured to be done deals wr need heavy investment in 1st team quality. Our squad proved to be no better than previously. Out of form, slightly injured and tired players forced to carry on playing. Lyle Taylor and Jack Colback should just be the start. If anyone thinks we dont need a new RB when Cash goes, then they have not been paying attention recently! Some width too. Has to be competing with Lolley and Sami.

My concern re the RB slot is whether Darikwa will be able to get back up to speed. He did well in the RB/Wing Back role, but an ACL injury always takes a yard of pace off of the player. Plus, sabri has gone with Jenkinson when he has been forced to not play Cash.

A couple of Tweets from John Percy re Lamouchi. The second one in particular is very telling and a reason we really should think very carefully before pulling the trigger. Clearly he has flaws but we have something here.
“Final point re Lamouchi, who clearly can’t escape scrutiny. Last season Thomas Frank lost 8 of his first 10 matches. Daniel Farke finished 14th in his first season. Bielsa had a second year too..“ “absolutely needs a Plan B. Plan C and D too. Completely underestimated the league in games against Wigan, Charlton, Millwall etc. But I'll say this: speak to other Champ clubs when Forest have done well and they will marvel over SL's set-up/tactics etc“

He has to stay for me assuming he feels he can turn things round, no point sacking unless you're replacing with better and either way they need backing with sufficient quality not quantity.
Our recruitment needs to improve and it doesn't matter how good the players are if they are if they're made of biscuit and can play half the games. Wolves a few years ago and Leeds this season were different as they had real quality throughout the squad, Sheffield United I never really rated but they had a togetherness and a squad of players who could grind out a 1-0 when it mattered with what I would call average players who would give you a 7 out of 10 every week. The rest is history obviously and players like McGoldrick playing in EPL says everything and well done to them. Sabri is not blameless and the tactics post restart were limited, however it's not his fault if players can't pass 5 yards to one another or retain possession as we saw against Barnsley. The starting 11 was his fault totally but once players cross the line they should be better as highly paid individuals. With the short turnaround then an announcement needs to be done sooner rather than later either way depending what EM decides.
