So what are people’s thoughts on soudani? I mean it’s difficult to to judge him too much given he’s only started the league cup game (and I wasn’t there) but I can judge from what I’ve seen.

I find it interesting that pretty much everyone wants him to start now in midfield above Carvalho? It’s amaizng the positive feedback you get for scoring a few goals. Excellent poachers goals but from what I’ve seen he’s not going to be a slick passer or show lots of skill running past people.

I do agree he should be in the team as he does look like he’ll get goals. Surely time to start him up front, Grabban has been dropping pretty deep anyway so shouldn’t be much of a change. Be great to see the power and movement and clinicality of his finishing up front. I can’t exactly see him racking up the assist from midfield but he looks so far dangerous in front of goal.

What do others think? Where’s his best position? How do we use him best?

I think he has earned the opportunity to properly show us what he can do, only then will we really see his strengths and weaknesses.

He is built like the proverbial brick shithouse and has the strength and ability to power his way into scoring positions or into positions where he can bring in one of the midfielders to take a pop at goal. yes he should start IMO

He's the one person in the side who I feel, with confidence, won't get bullied.  By Wigan or any other side.  I think you need that though out the side.  The other player I can think of of is Ben Watson.  He may not be in his prime, but when he came on, Forest seemed to have more steel in midfield.

That's the kind of player that gets you promoted from the Championship.

Dias has shown signs that he won't be pushed around.  I'm not as sure about the other two Portuguese talents.
