Tiago Silva

Of course, any side carrying two CM's will struggle, over all I think both Silva and Semedo have done fairly well though.

You’re forgetting Nicky Southall.

That is not difficult to be fair  :)

Silva and Semedo are absolute diamonds, they have only just unpacked their bags and have had a huge part in overhauling our midfield

Silva has vision, a fantastic first touch, a good finish on him and tougher than I expected, what's not to like he's contributing fairly consistently, Semedo is a mountain but still inexperienced and that shouldn't be forgotten he's probably played more minutes for us already than he did in half a season last year, bet he doesn't know what's hit him

Agree with Turkish's specific comments about Silva's attributes. There's definitely a footballer in there. However, it's hard to argue with Jock that he's been consistently poor overall. Felt a bit sorry for him on Saturday. It felt like most of what he tried didn't come off and an awful lot of his touches resulted in us losing possession, even if it was just bad luck, an awkward bounce etc. Crowd not exactly on his back, but a lot of groans every time it happened.

I really wanted him to do well, because there's clearly a skillful player in there and he does look like he has the tenacity and aggression to make it in the English game, despite his size. PNE were all over him every time he got the ball. I'm hoping that it's just a case of him getting used to the speed, aggression and lack of time you get in the Championship and he'll come good with more games.

Well I started this thread by questioning whether he would ever cut it. I know he has been improving recently but today the lad has arrived.
Well done Tiago, delighted you have proved me wrong, outstanding, keep it up!

Brilliant performance, and what a game to show his colours. Bossed the midfield

Adapting nicely now. Wasn't sure if he'd be up to it, but really progressing great. Top stuff

If you watch the footage of his flippy flap you can see the little ewok’s soul leave his body. Absolutely filthy.
