Injuries And Suspensions
That’s a relief! Chance to get some games into Chema, looks solid enough. Imagine he’ll be needed again at some point.

On a separate note, I noticed Sow already has 4 yellow cards! (In 7 games!) that’s a ban coming up and surely a two match ban at some point assuming he plays regularly all season.

Yates.
Jenkinson.
Dawson.
Samedo.
Bostock.
Mir.

It's a lengthy list, 7 players but thankfully with the exception of Darikwa none are too serious and all should be back after the next international break.

Thankfully Dawson is the only one who is really first choice.

What’s wrong with Semedo?

This highlights what a strong squad we now have. Having 7 players out injured in previous seasons would have crippled us, not anymore though.

Sow only 1 booking from suspension.

No problem, just bring in Semedo or Bostock or Yates :) so many options now.

I think we need to be realistic about Yates. He’s currently not fit or yet good enough.

Need him to avoid a card against Blackburn so he can face Brentford too. If he takes a yellow vs Brencelona he’ll be suspended away to Wigan, which is also after the international break so time for the injured midfielders to come back.

However you would have said the same or similar as would we all about Dawson Watson Worrall

Yates does not need to take as bigger step as Worrall has, Rangers fans must be thinking WTF, at this level where all the players have enough god given talent to have got to this standard it becomes about whats going on between the ears and I guess Yates must be gagging to be fit and available for selection

He was getting rave reviews in a successful County side and Scunny side if we are successful too then logic dictates the potential for his game to rise like the rest have from last season to this

He was also outstanding when he first broke into the team last season although his form did dip towards the end.

But Sow is not suspended at the moment. If he was I think we can guarantee that one of Semedo, Bostock or yates would be ready.

Yates isn't far away and semedo and bostock injuries were described as knocks so they cannot be to far from returning to action. We have got the strength in depth now with quality.
