What do people make of him?
I want to like him but not really convinced. Looks like he would suit an ACM role the most ie understudy to Carvalho, not seen enough evidence yet. Playing a deeper role he seems to struggle, quite light weight and gives the ball away a lot, one error today let the attacker clean through on goal.
I want to say give him time, he needs to adjust to the pace and physicality of the Championship and that may well be the case. What surprised me is that I had assumed he was a youngster and therefore work in progress, he isnt really, 26 already so football wise he isnt going to improve too much you would imagine.
Positives, there are some definitely some, for a start his work rate is very good. His best attribute by far is his a with a dead ball, I would say the best corner taker we have had in years, probably the only decent corner taker we have had since Reid come to think of it.
I wonder if the best way we could utilise him is to force a change in the rules to align with American football so he is a kicker who only comes on the field for set pieces? No? Oh well just a thought.

I find him so frustrating. He blows hot and cold.
One minute he is playing like an amateur and the next he is pinging a beautiful pass out, or putting in a fantastic corner.
I think we have to give him a bit more time to adapt to the championship. It must be so hard to come from playing in matches where you are given time and space to playing in matches where you are not given any time on the ball and the opposition are playing the high press all of the time. If he hasn't got to grips with it by Christmas, then he will never get to grips with it IMO

I dont think hes ever going to be a standout players but hes decent. As said above his ability from set plays is an important aspect of his game but he can be sloppy and over confident in the ball.
Hes got more than other 'decent' players in the past such as Bouch, McKinley, Patterson, so I can see him getting significant game time. His only problem is Carvalho, who I'd say is his direct competition for a place in the side.

I do like him and I think still adapting. I do reckon once he cuts out those rash wayward passes we will all be raving about. Best corner taker seen at forest for a long while and also a threat from set pieces.
I think he like all of them need this international break.

If Watson gave those performances he has he would be slated. His passing is poor. He's been giving so many 4 or 5 out of ten performances..nearly every game.
He shouldn't be starting. . He isn't good enough I'm afraid. Doesn't take 30 games to recognize that fact. He's a liability on the field. We have players not making the squad better than him.

Can we stay behind ALL the players and the manager. Why do we have to find someone to have a go at.
There are so many positives for us to focus on.

Decent enough but hasn't impressed as much as Sow and Semedo in the middle of the park.

It's not having a go . It's stating facts and wanting what's best for the team. Just because he is new doesn't mean it's acceptable to keep churning out 4/10 performances. It's a business not a support group .

I thought he was substantially better than Semedo yesterday.

I don't think we should be jumpimg to conclusions that Silva is'nt good enough after just a handful of games.

Needs to benched - better options available currently... gives the ball away far too much for my liking but given he is young etc think potential to coach.

There’s a quality player in there for sure, but he’s clearly still settling in. He needs to get to grips with the physicality and tempo of the league as he is currently easily shrugged off/dispossessed or gets caught out with how quickly he’s closed down. Technically he can play and his set piece delivery is very good, he put a cracking ball in yesterday that should have been attached.
Fingers crossed he gets up to speed quickly as he could be a real asset to the team if he can.
