You'd expect him to sort out our set pieces again at least

I can just sense a back post header from a free kick, in the first 10 minutes on Saturday.
Not look forward to it all, but we will all be there cheering them on.

Aye, we'd be solid again.

A back post header from a free kick or corner that results in a goal? Oh, yes, please. Other than Nuno last season, that's what we have missed for years.

Now we clap a corner and expect it to go to the first man or zoom over everyone.

McAtee and MGW have both played for Chris Wilder at Sheff Utd. Don't remember them not playing or complaining about the style of play.

If Dyche is going a great job then why would it have to be a short term deal?

However I would be in favour of Dyche coming in IF he would accept a short term deal.

Both Glasner and Silva will probably be available in the summer.

So Dyche until then I think would be a smart move.

But would Dyche accept those terms?

Agreed

This is what I said a few pages back

I also saw that Iraola was out of contract in the summer too.

If true that’s 3 top managers to aim for.
In the meantime we just need to bide our time, accept the mistake, steady the ship and continue with the longer term plan. Im sure Dyche could then be offered an alternative role in the summer. Defensive head coach?

Iraola? Get real, he is going to a Sky 6 club if anywhere.
Glasner in talks for a new contract now.

Dyche will want a 3 year deal, forget this short term nonsense and ask yourself if you want a Premier League club or not.
Accept a lesser role? Honestly don’t know what you are thinking. Dyche has managed a club at a higher level than us for over 10 years, can’t understand this notion that people reckon we are now better than him.

The suggestion that Iraola or Glasner would have any interest in coming to us in the summer is such a fantasy.

Silva seems more plausible as at least he has been repeatedly overlooked by the big clubs in the last few summers.

Wouldn't Dyche be playing the type of football that EM was trying to get away from?
Hoofball instead of Ange trying to implement the type of football that we saw in the first half against Betis.
What happens if Dyche doesn't get instant results, do we fire him and look again. Lets stick for a while.

We cannot afford to stick, the team has to start getting clean sheets, at a minimum draws, and stop conceding from every set piece we give away in the oppositions attacking third.

Dyche can set the team up to not concede, it won’t be pretty, but the Stone/Woan connection will get some of the older fans on side.

He can then work with the attacking side of things, quick counter attacking into Wood.

This notion of burnley playing Hoof-ball /Brexit FC and Mike Basset 4-4-F-IN 2 is an absolute myth he played to his players strengths at Burnley and Everton . You don’t go to Anfield and The Emerit’s and try and outplay them and this is why Ange will fail .
Dyche has earned his stripes and took Burnley to Europe . I would call that a bigger achievement than Ange winning the Scottish Prem or Europa league with that Spurs team . Its a bigger accomplishment than Nuno getting us into Europe last season .

For me it's all about today.

I am not one for long term planning for me it's all about the here and now.

Making long term plans looks great on paper and sounds great during interviews etc but the reality is that something will always come along and kick you in the knackers.

One of my favourite expressions is 'God laughs at those who make plans'.

So what do we need today?

Personally I think we need a Sean Dyche.

After the future will unravel itself day by day.
