"But it is also so awkward for them because they will be grateful for what the owner has done for the club in the last few years.
"With Edu coming into the club in such an important position, he will want his own people in play, because they will never really fully trust the person that is already in play? If he could pick a manager now, would he pick Nuno? No.
"That will be nagging for as long as possible, but Marinakis and Edu won't be rooting for him to fail so they can make the change.
"But the relationship is broken and I would not be surprised if Nuno walks before he is sacked."

For me today, watching the match on Sky, it really pissed me off with the number of times the commentator and his sidekick kept banging on about "This could be Nuno's last game" or will this be the last time we see Nuno in charge at Forest".

Talk about spinning out Sky's agenda, and now the BBC are joining in too.

IMO, and no doubt I will get some stick for this, but IMO, Sky now has its own agenda to get as much discredit aimed in EM's direction as they can, without actually doing it themselves. EM has really got under their skin over the past few seasons and it seems to me like they want to make him the villain so sooner or later the Forest fanbase turn on him.

Sadly, the likes of talkshite, gary jugears lineka, the BBC and most of the tabloid gutter press are all following suit.

For me, I hope Nuno, Edu and EM come to an amicable agreement in the way things operate, moving forwards and Nuno remains at the help. That would be the biggest two fingers the club could give to the manky media

Like you I hope it can amicably be resolved. My gut feeling is that’s wishful thinking and we’re too far down the road. Maybe there can be a temporary fix but eventually these tensions will surface again. We will do well to make it through the season and at the end EM can make a decision who he backs. Suspect things unravel well before then.

Nuno does like to wind people up too, BBC post match interview was very positive and then right at the end they asked if he was looking forward to leading Forest in Europe and he chuckled and said he was looking forward to West Ham.

Fwiw, I reckon they'll put a plaster on it for this season but first sign of trouble and either he'll be sacked or this will come up again. You could see how he'd make it through the year but hard to see him seeing out his contract for example.

Nuno said what he said on Friday bo arguing that but the BBC and Sky etc are twisting and stirring the pot once again for headlines. Even Gaby Logan on MOTD2 was spouting ? and misrepresenting what Nuno said pre and post match yesterday. They are just itching for a sacking, be that Nuno or another manager. Hopefully all gets sorted with Nuno, Edu and EM this week and we can put hhis behind us. Anyway, it seems Potter is on very thin ice so attention wil turn on him next and of course it’s Liverpool Newcastle later so they’ll be back to drumming up ? about Isak etc

This is the thing now we are Premier League we are box office and every minute detail will be discussed and usually exaggerated by the national media because thats what it does. Its the same for every club, Newcastle have had it worse this summer. We wanted to be there so take it on the chin, no point in whining.
Its also the reason why as a club I would prefer it if we didn’t do something else to put us in the spotlight every week. The media simply reacts to the stories that we seem to endlessly gift them.

I have a theory on this fall out. Edu has been bought in to take some operational stuff off Marinakis and someone who is perceived as best in class. Nuno was very clear in what he wanted / wants. All that is pretty clear.

I’m just wondering if Edu has very different ideas for the squad. At Arsenal they played centre halves as full backs. Nuno has had to do this during preseason. For Nuno it didn’t work and he clearly doesn’t rate Omar Richards and da silva as back ups. Arsenal also copied Mancity in having inverted full backs - midfielders essentially playing at full back- hence the rico Lewis links. This is also where I think the friction has come from. Nuno likes and orthodox back 4/5. We have had almost an overkill of forward players too. Bakwa brings another forward option allbeit one who can play wing back.

Nuno also didn’t like Moreno - a decent left back who was better going forward and he didn’t trust him defending.

Still not sure this plays out well for Nuno. The biggest clue will be the incomings this week.

I think you are looking too deep.
The very basic issue here is very simple - Edu and Nuno just don’t get on.
Nuno has been the aggressor here, ever since the first meeting.

Long term it’s very difficult to see this lasting, in terms of Nuno, as Edu is definitely here to stay and help build to multi club model.

I would imagine as long as we don’t implode results wise, this will be resolved next summer. 

Nuno HAS to deliver with this squad he has been given.

Every club outside of the top 6 would die for this squad.
