Injuries And Suspensions
I wouldn’t have played him on Wednesday, even if he was fit.

Hopefully it’s mind games and he plays Sunday, massive player for us.

That's a massive kick in the teeth.

f**k.

Did he elaborate at all or literally just say "a while"? Any update on Yates?

No idea. Just relaying what I've read on Twitter. Didn't see the whole interview.

He said there's a bug going round the team which has made Yates, Colback and others doubtful and MGW definitely out, according to BBC Sport.

Sounds like MGW is the one out then as opposed to Yates, that's probably worse! Although despite him being our best player we are pretty stacked at number 10 with Scarpa and Lingard too.

He is defending a weak selection tomorrow.

Bloody twitter rumours about Yates are rife. Hope it is all BS.

Sorry not on twitter. What's the rumours about Yates ??

The rumours are that he'll have to retire due to a heart issue.

When challenged, none of the people sharing the rumour can provide a credible source. It's always 'on WhatsApp' or 'all over.'

It does seem unlikely he'd have played against Bournemouth if there was genuinely any fears of heart related issues.

Be nice if he was on the bench on Wednesday.

Far more likely that there has been a nasty virus that has left him a bit drained. Cooper has alluded that many in the squad are showing symptoms.

Someone mentioned that he came off in the last league game Cus of feeling dizzy having gone off the game before Cus of the clash to his head.

All I’ll say having learnt from watch the nfl, that concussion are not linear, there’s no thing as a mild concussion. And it might be a while for it to sort out.

I mean yes we’ve all seen heart things quickly raise their head for pro athletes especially with footballers suffering cardiac events on the pitch, so it’s nothing to be sniffed at, I hope it’s just something that came from his last games and not this. Although erikssen has worked through his issues eventually!

Indeed. The Miami Dolphins quarterback has been out for several weeks due to concussion.
