Only at the last home game of the season if we get promoted  :P

It's a sellout absolutely buzzing for this one. Roll on 3 o'clock

I'm going to get slack for saying this.
But if our support is so brilliant then
why do the manager and players ask us to get behind the team every week in the program.
why do we boo players off at half time if we are losing
why can you hear the stadium groan when a pass is misplaced
why does 1/2 the stadium go home 5 mins before the end of the game when we are only 1 goal down.

I was as shocked on Saturday by just how few fans were still watching at full time as I was by the manager's poor choices for players and subs!

When it's buzzing the City ground is amazing, it's too easy to blame the manager or certain players, but we are part of this!

I can see where you are coming from mate and yo make some good points.

When the thread was started though I think it was more to do with record season ticket sales and stuff more than the vocal side of our support.

I don't see how we're any different to any other club of our standing in the league. Booing and cheering is a 2 way thing. Fans will boo when they think the performance level on the pitch is below what is expected. They will cheer when what is delivered on the pitch is of good quality. Groaning is borne from frustration. If a single pass is mis-placed then it wont happen. It's when it continually happens that fans take exception. For the last 2 games I've sat in my seat and watched our international goalkeeper make errors that's cost us 4 points (we'd be 2 points off the top of the league if we'd beaten Millwall and drawn against Norwich). It's damn frustrating.

I may get flack for this but we're the 10th most successful club in the country in the history of the game. We're the biggest club in a city that's in or around the top 10 biggest cities in the country. We should not be expected to be accepting of piss poor 2nd division football for 20 odd years.

As for leaving the stadium early, I've been going to games for 40 odd years now and it's always happened, even when we were riding high. IMO it's nothing like as bad as it used to be. the stadium used to be half full at 90mins back in the day.

I agree Paplane, that the same will happen at most other clubs.
I too have been massively frustrated by the last two home games. I've never left a ground early, I really don't understand why anyone would.
I sit in Upper Clough and think that that might be some of the problem regarding atmosphere. But when I looked around the ground at final whistle most stands looked 1/2 empty, so maybe it's the same all round.

Karanka should realise that we are not a hand picked audience at a TV show who are encouraged to clap and cheer at the right time to support an act on stage. Those that have a job know that if they were to continually make mistakes then they would get fired and so there is an inbuilt expectation that footballers on significantly higher wages should not continually make mistakes. During each week the club shows the players hard at work, Karanka speaks to the press and a level of expectation is built, this expectation sells tickets and fills the stadium. The players are all human and do make mistakes, however the expectation has already been built and so the crowd groans. No matter how much Karanka says that this is damaging to the players it will not stop it.

No 'canned laughter' at the City Ground.

They're used to a very high standard.

God walked on water for many of those divine years.

They're paid more than to play for '15' minutes.

The first goal looked good. Shame they didn't bury Norwich after that.

Silver lining. Been in the top top 5. Only two points now off the top 6.

I didn't think Norwich would be mugs. They weren't. But Forest were not at full strength. At least two of the back line that faced Boro' were changed. Two of those fullbacks were part of the pre-last international malaise. Dar' and Os' aren't 1st choice fullbacks. And one of those is 'make shift' fullback. Dawson vs Heff at set pieces? Perhaps we have our answer. Dawson started at Boro' and maybe we need that presence at the back.

As for Pants. You're nearly 7ft and can't 'walk' out and catch a ball?

Then you have the 'flat' DCM. Needed Geddy's dynamism vs Norwich.

So, it's fullbacks, keeper, CH, DCM where Forest are getting exposed.

Bring back in...Janko, Robinson, Dawson and Geddy. It's amazing what a difference four players can make. Two of those down the spine of the side...and two toughening up very soft fullback positions.

SA.

The last two home games since Norwich the vocal support has been much better.

Perhaps Karanka's little pop at the fans had the desired effect.

Can I just add that people can leave early for a variety of reasons. I have to leave early as my youngest has problems with his legs and just wouldn't cope with the stairs at full time. Yes maybe I should go lower but I've had the same seats in the Trent End since it was built and am loathe to leave them.
