The View From The Hill. Chairman Nicholas Randall Speaks!

To me that Q&A was a bit like watching the government Covid briefings. You watch it and you feel temporarily reassured. Then you stop and think to yourself hang on, if you lot are so on top of things then why the hell are we in such a mess?

Yep, that's a good analogy that sum's up the situation perfectly. But that being the case, it's still nice to hear from the ownership group at the club. I think it's the first time I've seen a moving picture of Randall and heard his voice. He's been the chairman for four years!!

He actually said bugger all really - but I wouldn’t expect much more.

It is a PR exercise - and long overdue.

A welcome initiative.

Have a word Sniff.
Whilst welcome it has bugger all to do with DT  :s

Of course it has.

Danny made specific allegations which needed answering; some of those allegations were discussed and answers provided.

I have a lot of time for Danny, he is a fantastic journalist, but surely he would not deny the Club a right to reply.

Randall could easily say that no manager suffered any interference with transfers and be 100% accurate; poor old Sabri was the Head Coach though.

Sometimes actions speak louder than words and the promotion of Gary Brazil to Head of Football Development, which also oversees recruitment, took effect back in October just after Hughton joined, was a very significant action.

Yep agreed, a lot of it was aimed at responding to DT's allegations. Which is good, those comments need a response.

I'm looking forward to seeing the fruits of the Recruitment Team led by Hughton and Brazil this Summer.

In that sense - yes, of course it has.

But in a good way.

In essence an opportunity presented to the club as a result of rumblings of discontent - brought to the surface by DT.

No issue with that - hopefully that ‘boil can be lanced’ and we can move on.
