Davis has not scored yet but he has played well and given us something different. We have won every match he has played in. He bullied Arsenal centre halves on his debut and on Saturday played a key role in the first goal by holding a defender off and laying the ball to Cook. I like him and think he strengthens us. Some goals will be welcome but as long as we continue to win and he contributes like he has then that is fine by me.

Yep, I think you've got it there George. Even though he's a striker we shouldn't use goals as the yardstick by which he is judged. He's added another dimension to us which is most welcome. Opposition defenders wont know if they're going to setting up against a battler in Davis or a more mobile forward in Zinc.

He'll take out defenders allowing the other forward players to pile on the pressure.

If they leave Davis alone, he will score.  You can't ignore him.

He has indeed added another dimension to Forest.  He is to the attack what Cook has brought to the defence.  Things we just didn't have in the squad.

I’ll be honest and say I’m not convinced by him yet, I’m hoping I’m wrong but he reminds me of Ishmael Miller.

He's not a natural goalscorer that's clear.

But he's a lot more skillful and better on the ball than Miller.

Better in what way? They have near identical styles and strengths.

Maybe but think their attitude and determination are on different planets. Miller had a lot of quality if he had applied himself.

There was never a question of application with Ishmail, he had a languid style that people translate to a lack of interest, similar to Grabban, the reality was that his body couldn't do what his head wanted it to do.

I could never say the same about Miller unfortunately. Sorry Username but I have to disagree with you on this one pal.

Being likened to Ishmail Miller isn't necessarily a bad thing, Miller had bags of quality when he first arrived and scored four goals and had four assists in his first ten games.

If Keinan can replicate those stats I'll be definitely warming to him.

Ha I think it's a very fair comparison personally. I also rated Miller a lot when he first signed though so it's a positive comparison. Pace, power and looked capable of being a top striker, shame he never fulfilled that potential. I'd take 4 goals and 4 assists in the next 7 games!

Worth noting he's just come back from a long injury and not really had many opportunities to start consistently in his career. We've all seen what can happen this year when someone regains optimum fitness and match practise with Colback so we can expect to see more from Davis as the year goes on (hopefully don't have to wait till next year when he plays for someone else!)

I agree with the Ishmael Miller comparison to an extent. I actually think Emile Heskey is what he should be aspiring to be - a perfect foul for goal scorers around him.
Is it just a coincidence Grabban has scored in the games he has played? OK not all directly from him but he has played his part in roughing up the defence prior.
Would like to see grabbs rested Tuesday with zink coming in and hope he does well and gets a goal.
I was talking to some Villa fans last night - they were all in agreement that he is a good egg and will show his worth. They are glad he is getting game time…

Took his goal well but lucky not to get a red card?
I was behind the goal for the skirmish, definitely went towards the defender with his head, think the Barnsley guy faked falling, dont know if there was any contact. He got away with it but don't want to see him do that again.
