I agree. The more footballers who can pass and move quickly we have in there, the better each of them will look. Silva is isolated playing deep with Semedo further forwards. Would like to see Silva and Carvalho together, Sow will add physicality.

I really think by end of season fans will be raving about Silva (if he stays fit)

When he has had time on the ball and at set pieces he has shown that he has real quality.
If he had cost 13m the fans would already be singing his name (maybe!)
I think he looks to be a good addition to the team/squad. At the moment, I think I'd play him more as a sub as I think needs more time to get used to the speed of play, especially in 1st half.

hes been a 5/10 performer in nearly every game. lets hope it improves as the months goes on its only very early days in a new league and new country. people were saying dias was quality at this point last season as well (he clearly wasnt)

Jury's still out for me. I can see quality in him but he needs more time and space on the ball at the moment. Sabri clearly see's something in him, so that's fine with me. I think he might have to share his game time now Carvalho's back.
It's a long time since we had someone who could ping in a corner like he can. As a result of that we look dangerous from set plays (when have we ever said that in the past?) so we need to bear that in mind. Putting in a decent cross from a corner that results in a goal, is just as important as Carvalho threading a killer pass to the striker.

I'd go as far as to say he's our best corner taker since Lars Bohinen. He pings them in flat and fast.

We've scored 3 goals already from Silva corners, and he's scored.
For a guy still settling in, I would say that's a pretty good return.

Looks good from where I am sitting.
Like someone said earlier, he gets lumps kicked out of him more often than not when he picks up the ball.
Very early days but there is definitely plenty to be optimistic about where Silva is concerned.

Yeah, he's certainly contributed.
But you look at games like Preston and him + Semedo gifted them the midfield.
Just a case of horses for courses I'd say. Until he adapts a bit more anyway.
I think the side can carry one of him & Semedo on an off day, but not both.
