Fans job is to support the team.
There is no manager in the world who can join Forest and win every game!
All managers should be given a good chance, and Forest legends should get longer!

And yes.  Forest legends should get more.  This ill-fated 'ill-feeling' from some fans against MoN was there long before he was installed.

'Dinosaur.'  'Past it.'  'Look at what he did with Ireland (only got them punching way above their weight class...)' and other baiting.  He's been called a 'prat' by others.  (I'd never call any Forest legend that.  Ever.  He's intelligent and articulate and he's been very honest in interviews.  If you want to do 'Swansea' it takes time.  It isn't going to happen over a '12 game' season.  It's not rational or reasonable to expect otherwise.  The same moans were there about Aitor at this 'half way' stage of the season.  'Football is ugly.'  'We've only won 4 games...'  'Compare his football to the manager we sacked...' etc. etc.)

It's the same old cycle of destruction.  Getting the bottom lip out or the 'bag on' when we lose.  

I remember when Billy MKI was struggling to keep 'us' up and he had to bring in all those loans.  What did he say?  'Some of these players need to have a hard look at themselves.  Do they want to play for the jersey for this club?  Do they deserve it?'  Something like that.  Paraphrased.  It was the best thing he ever said.  Because it's true then and it applies now.  Though Martin was less blunt in his most recent interviews.  But he's making the same point.

He's been a great servant to our glory days under Clough.  He'll be a 'great' servant again for us.  If we get that chip off our 20 year shoulder and let him.

There was no pattern of play under Aitor's 1st games. (Remember when he couldn't buy a win?) It was survival football. It was brutal stuff. The blue print of how you play is done in pre-season.

For me this encourages the player-power somewhat.

Carva may be a good player, but no player is bigger than the club. Christ I remember having conversations about Stan Collymore not being bigger than the club, a 20+ Prem goalscorer who could rip Man U's defence to bits. That's a player who I can understand folk getting on the manager's back for dropping, not a kid with 4 goals to his name who disappears when we need him the most.

Club can't revolve it's entire game around Carva. He's too inconsistant & easily bullied. I question whether MON is right to drop him, but he's more of a Raddy than a Collymore, and in no way undroppable.

He has to earn the shirt like anyone else.  Otherwise you have the same 'dark forces' that Worrall talked about before Aitor finally cleaned out (mucked out?) 'Warburton's' stable (but in truth, it was the barnacles of the previous 3/4 years worth of managers' players one on top of the other...)

The key weakness is that the ball doesn't stick with him, doesn't seem to hold the ball up and seems easily bullied off the ball.  That's why he's not getting game time.  He either adapts to this league or he's going on loan to Greece.

He seems to have less impact on games than Raddy.  A player who adapted to the Championship better.  A player I feel was better, tougher (and he was no heavyweight...), held the ball up better, seemed to pass more incisively, more influential and far cheaper.

I looked at Steve Warnock's documentary on youtube where he's at Sheff U.

And they're falling just short of the play offs that season.

They've got all the 'old heads' in the dressing room and they haven't listened to the 'Gaffer's' instructions. Warnock B*LL*CKS one of them or a couple of them at the back (senior pro' players...) for not accepting responsibility for the job he gave them which they didn't do. (Which was to stick with the man who was the danger man to stop him scoring. What did they do? They went with someone else and he scored. Warnock goes hairless at them.)

And he said it would be different in the Summer when he gets rid of them and brings in players who will bleed for the cause.

That's what MoN is up against at Forest.

No Carvalho again...season is over, just pick him for a few games to keep everyone happy. Seems common sense to me
