Yeah that's the thing. He toned things down later on last season and we have been pressing more so far this - hopefully he can find some middle ground between the two.

According to spurs only reason he toned down and changed is because of injuries

Earnshaw on Sky Sports News is a lot more confident about the appointment than most fans are!

The issue is training rather than in games too, his strategy is broadly effective apart from the consistent injury issues he's had in every role he's been in. When his teams have been fit, he's generally had positive results. Be interesting to see how he acts with Marinakis as boss compared to Levy and how much freedom he has.

I'm desperately trying to find information of Ange's style because I generally tend to focus only on Forest but I might just stop at Robbie's comments.  Ellie talking rubbish as usual and just spouting the same as those on Twitter.

Let's just see how this all pans out - it could be brilliant.

I'd be interested to see what Celtic fans think of him. Granted Scottish football is a bit of a special case as you've really got only one other team to beat but it'd be good to get their view on his style, injuries and so on.

Yeah there are the injury concerns and the openness of the football but as Username said in the other thread Spurs were decent in his first season.

Best of luck cobber!

I'm with you. Took Spurs from 8th to 5th in his first season. If you actually look at the injuries he had last season it was quite something. I think at one point he had the whole first choice back 5 out. You could argue that could be partly down to his coaching methods.

Wouldn't have been my number one choice, but there are some people going way over the top.

I fear for Aina in an Ange world, hope they don't push him too much in training.

That was very interesting and helpful, thanks.

Looks like Wood is exactly the kind of striker that Ange likes then and it'll be interesting with Jesus and Kalimuendo to see how they fit as I'm not sure about their profiles yet.  Jesus does seem to come deep a lot so might not be an exact fit.  We shall see.

Obviously that video was Kane focussed and didn't mention much about the defensive elements but Williams and Zinchenko seem a good fit as full backs, albeit Williams would have to revert to the right.  Aina could do well too I guess.  Plenty of options to play around with.

Ok, I'm excited and ready for goals!

I am a bit shocked by this appointment to be honest.

I really didn't think that EM would get into bed with his mate but that is what is happening.

Well at least we have a good number of CB in the squad to cover from injuries I guess. At least we will be exciting to watch one way or another
