Not safe just yet either, Birmingham only 3 behind and Rotherham have 4 games in hand. Will get pretty nervy if they win a few.
We do have some easier games coming up after the international break at least.

If more than 2 of those start in our first game in August we’ll be in for another very long season.
Proof - if it were needed - that CH & the recruitment team have an almighty task on their hands this Summer.
Mckenna, Christie, Cafu, Ameobi, Garner. Could see all of those being around next season still in the first team

...& that exacerbates things on the pitch because you know that, I know that, but they know that too.
It did make watching the match even more strange though, because not only was I watching a match with no crowd, but that's not our team for next season either. So it kind of gave the match a detached what am I watching & why feeling

And we're not any of those things. We'd do well to finish 14th.

Ready made excuses
We're in dreamland if we think our car crash season (which started before Hughton got here) was going to turn over Norwich who have been on another footballing planet for the last 3 years.
*Bite of reality sandwich for Forest fans.

They could have had 5 in the first half, we could have had 1.
They eased off. So often this season teams have taken the lead and been comfortable and eased off, and our fans try to excuse our performance by claiming we pushed them back. It’s delusional.

Yeah he had it all written out and rehearsed...
He doesn't need to have it written out and rehearsed

Depends if CH wants him, suspect Man Utd would send him here if so. He's not that great, not good enough for a prem team yet so may as well go somewhere he already knows

True that could happen, but I can't see it myself.

I don't see Garner being here next season, Christie is up in the air & I don't see Cafu or Ameobi starting anywhere close to 40 matches, thy'll be squad not first XI (providing we resign Ameobi, obviously)

Ameobi is about the only player at the club along with Worrall who should be here, they are players that the club should be making sure are here next season.

If it were my call I'd certainly offer him a new contract & more than just the year, if he wanted it, but I would be offering it to him as one in a rotation, not as a 40 game player, he's good enough for a top 10 squad but I'm partial to wingers so I'd like something a little better as well.

I mean since ameobi has come back both his knees have been heavily covered in athletic tape surely that’s a bad sign?
