Nottingham Forest - Norwich City
Hughton made the point that the Norwich team have had 3 years playing together. Premiership £££. The leadership has stuck with Daniel Farke. Even after he finished 14th in his 1st season.

And we're not any of those things. We'd do well to finish 14th.

If you mean he ran around like a loon waving his arms a lot then you are correct. Not sure it achieved much.

Ha yeah pretty much what i meant. Not much point pressing on your own if everyone else just sits back

I dont agree they took their foot off the gas. We were much improved in the 2nd, albeit i accept we never looked like troubling them. We got schooled by a top side and it could've been 4 or 5 but we didnt let that happen. They didint let up we tightened up.

Um.....err....the grass looked very green..
We came 2nd
We don't play Norwich again for at least 18 months.
Smith looked competent.
Its one less game to endure in this car crash of a season.

Negatives.
Pretty much all of tonight. 1st half was men against boys especially.
Missed 2 more very good chances which might have made it interesting.....or made them mad?

Just a terrible night which shows how far we have to go to be anywhere near challenging. A bit of a painful reality check as Norwich were best team we have seen this season.

We were better 2nd half.  Pity we didn't start in a similar fashion.

We had two good chances.  But we didn't take them.

Norwich are better than the last time Forest played them.  That's the kind of confidence you get when you're ten points clear and won 8 games in a row.

They have 'clever quick players' and we don't.  The best team Forest have played this season.  They've going to win the league.  (For a host of reasons.)

Don't see how that excuses the lack of drive and passion in the first half and tge absolute lack of threat we posed all 90.

I can accept losing and no shame losing to the best team in the division. What is hard to accept is losing in the manner we did - put up some fight, show some spirit and don't be happy to lose 2-0

What?  This season? :D   (Not like Forest haven't had the same script for 20 years now...)

Norwich have been well run for 15 years.  We haven't.

Parachuting a manager like Hughton in half way through the season with a squad that wasn't his or any pre-season?  It was always going to work great.

I thought we looked intimidated rather than lacking spirit. It was almost like with changed team knocked any belief out of them.

We're in dreamland if we think our car crash season (which started before Hughton got here) was going to turn over Norwich who have been on another footballing planet for the last 3 years.

*Bite of reality sandwich for Forest fans.

Yep. As I said earlier in this thread the Sky commentator nailed it after 20 minutes - he described us as ‘passive’.

Just taken a quick look again at our starting X1 tonight.

If more than 2 of those start in our first game in August we’ll be in for another very long season.

Proof - if it were needed - that CH & the recruitment team have an almighty task on their hands this Summer.
