Nottingham Forest - Norwich City
Hey ho, feared it would be worse than that, not too much harm done. They didn’t look like they over exerted themselves either, maybe its a tactic to be fresher for Saturday. Ok Im not buying that one either.

Seriously we have a long long way to go if we want to be competing at the top end next season.

Shows you what a few seasons in and out of the prem with constant parachute payments can do for a side, I’m not surprised the difference in the two teams especially with the win run they are going on

It is a clear instruction though. Our number 10 whoever it is basically is a defensive forward. We are so rigid in shape which is basic safety first approach. Norwich just played in between our lines and we chased shadows. Felt sorry for centre halves and Figgs had a great game after 2-0. We are not out of the woods at all yet.
I will tell you something- if crowds were in they would not get away with that...

If you mean he ran around like a loon waving his arms a lot then you are correct. Not sure it achieved much.

I haven't seen anything from Hughton to suggest he is the manager who will take us forward, I definitely don't trust his decision making nor do I have any trust in him bringing in young quality players in the summer transfer market.

Piss poor manager

How many players have bust a gut tonight?

I’ve see no one at least put a foot in.

Too many in red just strolling around.

If that’s what we’ve become then I fear for our future.

Wonder how many current season card holders would renew having watched the last 90 minutes of garbage.

I’m seriously considering not renewing....A change of manager could save it for me....

Highly unlikely I’ll renew. It’s a huge effort for me to travel and with covid likely to be around to risk it for the garbage that Hughton serves up? I actually find it insulting. Does he not realise that we care, that we want to enjoy watching our club? Get someone in that gets it.

Trouble is half our squad are not only not good enough, but also know they wont be here next season anyway & these days your agent finds your next club, not what you do on a football pitch.

I joked about Dumitru the other day, but does anyone remember his goal in the u23's match when he was playing for scouts?

That's why at 29 he's still being paid to play, when he's not much better than an amateur, it's because he wants it, & he'll bust a gut & fight for it, half this lot won't.

Like I said the other day, the kids aside, I wouldn't shed tears if offers came in for any of our players this summer & we accepted them.

We really don't have anything here & we've spent a fortune amassing that indifferent & average squad.

Summer can't come soon enough, it's time to say goodbye to the last 3 year cycle & welcome the new.

have we progressed since Martin O'Neill? He had 1 window and got in about 3 players, we were competitive every game, and seeing Roy Keane involved was sort of inspiring, did they tell the owners how it is ... ? Marinakis has lost about what £40,000,000 keeping this shambolic wreck on the road since then? I wonder how much of the £40m he had to splash out to get everyone to sign the Non Disclosure Agreements?
I ain't gonna bother spending anymore tenners, no goals, all i'm seeing is depreciation, watching worthless devalue .. is there a word for it?

You make it sound like Forest were set up to attack at some point in the last 3 years.

Apart from those that were born here in the academy I don't think we have any players here from the last time we coached a team to lead from the front.

This is a another level to Karanka, O’Neill or even Lamouchi.

Lets not lose sight of the fact tbat Norwich are shit hot. No one in the division can trouble them at the moment. We showed some more commitment in the 2nd and didnt concede. I suppose thats a small positive.

But that is only down to the fact that they had the game won in 15 minutes. 15 Minutes!! Had they gone for it, then who knows what could have happened.

In the remaining 75 minutes we barely troubled them. Like 2-0 to the league leaders was somehow a good result. That as fans we are relieved it was only 2. Rather than thinking and questioning why tge feck this side played with such lack of interest, drive or passion to get back into the game, instead we shrug our shoulders and breathe a sigh of relief that it wasn't more.

Of all the 8 games they've won on the bounce I don't imagine they had many easier.

OK then, tough one this.

Positives.
Um.....err....the grass looked very green..
We came 2nd
We don't play Norwich again for at least 18 months.
Smith looked competent.
Its one less game to endure in this car crash of a season.

Negatives.
Pretty much all of tonight. 1st half was men against boys especially.
Missed 2 more very good chances which might have made it interesting.....or made them mad?

Just a terrible night which shows how far we have to go to be anywhere near challenging. A bit of a painful reality check as Norwich were best team we have seen this season.
