Well that clearly hasn't happened and the quality of performance in all three games (yes Barnsley was a competive game despite the best intentions of others to paint it as something else) have been dire. We have not scored and for the first 225 minutes of the season had only one shot on target.
Those claiming that second half was better miss that we were playing a side happy to sit back and protect their lead. One feels that if Cardiff had not taken their foot off the gas then we probably would have lost by more.
There is no comfort in changing the manager. I tend not to advocate it but what evidence do we have that Friday will offer us anything different?
I think it's a touch unfair to not give Forest credit for 2nd half performance. Aside from finishing (again) I actually found myself enjoying our performance in those 45 minutes. Cardiff were penned in more than sat back. We have to start with a similar attitude from the off. Grabbs needs to get his mojo back as without goals he is currently offering us nothing else. Last year his all round play was superb for the most part.
If we revert back to passively shuffling around in a defensive mindset then he will be the architect of his own downfall sadly. We also have one defender who has been directly involved in all four league goals conceded so far and Sabri needs to rest him to help save his own job. On the other hand if we pick up with where we left off then things will turn around very quickly.
