I started the thread having watched Bamford’s interview. I agreed with his view that Nigel Doughty did a lot for the club. He invested a lot of money which didn’t really bring the immediate dividends we thought it would. Until I saw the interview I had forgotten it was the anniversary of his death. I assumed it was the 10th when it was the 11th. For me that one year makes a big difference. I think commemorating the 10th anniversary should have been an important. I can’t remember the Club doing that but I could be wrong. Eventually you reach a point when you ask when do you stop commemorating. Maybe we have reached that point. Thinking about I also have reflected today that is a bit hypocritical of fans like to me moan about the Club when I had forgotten and the fans hadn’t organised something themselves. I guess if it was so important to us we should have organised a small commeration.
