We have seen plenty hero's come and go, its all about timing and this setback may just work in favour!
Unless its Davis I'd be amazed if we find ourselves with Grabbans long term replacement in our squad by tomorrow night.
As said previously not even sure Id have wanted to see him replaced in Summer (pre injury) as he was heading for yet another 20 goal season and looking as fit as ever.
Scarily though, if Davis gets injured Silva could be our main "striker".
Wish we'd kept Lyle now. He's looked OK with limited chances this season.
You kind of know if Forest leave them selves short, history tells us the Gypsy Injury Curse will strike. And it did today. Cardiff were a dirty, dirty side.
That's why you replace before you let Figs or Lyle go. (Sure, his goal return hasn't been great. But unlike CM, we don't have alot of options up front.)
I always found Lyle useful. A live wire. (Imagine you'd need a penalty taker in the play off final....). Or someone to hustle in the dying minutes to get a win over say, Bristol City...
But we've been riding our luck with Grabban as our main Striking Talisman for a good few seasons now.
