Not all Clubs are in the same yearly cycle but they all will have an anniversary that falls within the three year period.
Palace, Burnley and Leeds must be in the 2017 - 2020 - 2023 - 2026 cycle
We are in the 2018 - 2021 - 2024 - 2027 cycle
The Professional Development programme started in 2012; all Clubs taking part in the programme are appraised on a three yearly basis to ensure that they are maintaining the agreed standards.
This anniversary is also used for applications to upgrade.

That does make sense thanks. In other words we either applied back in 2018 when we were still sweeping up the mess from the former owner or we waited until this year so we haven’t wasted an opportunity. As an outsider I get the impression that we may not have focussed as clearly as we could have done on some issues until recently but lets hope we can get that provisional approval in the summer.
