We finally get MoN.  He's got the proven track record of success.  But they need to be patient and stick with it.

That means a pre-season.  Further investment to get the mediocre lightweights out and the athletic 'can play a bits' in.  We need stronger players physically and mentally (see performance vs Villa where Forest were out fought, out ran, out gunned out qualitied...and even IF we get into the play offs...do we really think we can beat Villa?)

Patience.  We've got a handful of games left and it doesn't look like the players (that MoN inherited) have got it in their locker.  They didn't have it under Aitor either.

Robust investment in the Summer.  Robust players.  And if they can 'play a bit' all the better.

That’s all well and good for the fans that wanted Martin O’Neill, but when he was appointed the fan base was very split.
I certainly didn’t want him and he’s doing absolutely nothing to win me over.
To me the damage is already done and the split is even bigger, particularly amongst those good honest soles that actually bother to go to games.

We were yes. I hoped that we had moved on from this shit and got a proper scouting system in place to sign players who know what it takes to play and succeed in the Championship.

The fan base didn't want Aitor to leave.  But he 'walked/stropped/quit' etc.

Who did you want to arrive?  The guy that got fired from Fulham?

Martin's track record is 2nd to none over all the managers we've employed over the last 20 years and over all other potential candidates being considered at the time of his appointment.

Plenty of MoN fans doing the 'scarf' waving.  Doesn't seem that split to me.  Some wanted the Fulham guy.  I don't think many felt we could get Martin (I didn't.)   So it took me, and probably many, by surprise.

12-ish games.  Do we really expect full flowing Swansea football after 12 games?  Without 'his' team?  Without a proper pre-season of recruitment.

We don't have the players to do what MoN or you or I want.

We were yes. I hoped that we had moved on from this S**t and got a proper scouting system in place to sign players who know what it takes to play and succeed in the Championship.

I thought we had Tommy J in place?  Maybe we've hedging our bets.  You can get some good players from France.

But I'd be more liberally with Championship proven players.  Or just players who are robust athletes that can play a it.

One thing that struck me when I watched Aitor's (really, it was Warburton's Forest that Aitor inherited...a bit like MoN has inherited Aitor's 2 dimensional team...but that's what happens when you hire and fire half way through the season...which ends up with the same results despite firing 3 managers from positive positions...) team play Villa vs the City Ground.

All of Villa's players were genuine athletes.  Faster to the ball.  Forwards, getting back to defend.  Stronger.  More robust physically and mentally to carry out the game plan.  Add that to Bruce's stifling tactics and Forest were scurrying around after 'the elves like the hobbits' they were.  

At least MoN has started to address the height issue in the squad..?

But then, Forest were playing a Villa that had spent tens of millions on Premier players.

And the difference between the leagues was apparent.

And it still is judging by the way Villa stomped Forest at the City Ground despite 3 games in 7 days...

The problem is the people who are doing the scouting.

This window is crucial in my opinion.

We simply have to get it right.

Aye.  Because 'they' didn't get it right this season, £25million plus was blown on players who aren't suited to the Championship. 

Take that away and you're left with playing 3 DCMs...
