'A thing of beauty.'

SA.

That’s what I wanna see next season, young hungry players that have fun playing with each other. Can we have a young spine you think? Can we find a young striker just waiting to prove it in the championship to go with garner (if we get him back) and worrall and McKenna

I thought Mighten was outstanding today. Despite the fact he looked like a hobbit playing against a side built to kick anything that moved he never backed down from anything. He kept going right until the end. He looks positive all the time.

We need to build a a team around players like this

Positives:
An absolute blueprint for a promotion winning away performance.
The CB partnership was everything we hoped it would be.
The goal-a thing of beauty.
Both
full backs very good today (links to CBs above).
Mighten- if he doesn't go up with us, will smash our transfer selling record, so long as we hang on for another season. He is still only a teenager- remarkable.
All the people whinging about the team selection are once again being shown up by Hughton.
Yates again superb in doing the job he was asked to do.
Garner-challenging for top end may depend on getting him again.
Flint missing a sitter, that ugly thug was a classic Warnock/Harris/Mccarthy player.
Taylor looked a handful and worked his nuts off to help us see out the game.
The collective attitude and effort made me proud of the boys, properly represented the Garibaldi today.

Negatives:
Grabban struggled, albeit with not much service, but he currently seems very easy to play against.
Sky were eulogising about both our defence and Mighten, 2 things I would love to see us keep for a tilt next season.
Cafu is not a 10, but 100% understand why he was picked there today and we won.

The beer/wine/dinner tastes that bit better tonight.

Amen, Zicorice.  Amen.

If D.H Lawrence had been a Forest fan.  Would he have written prose with such bolded eloquence?

The downside of being too tight to pay a tenner for less than an hour was the nerve-wracking ordeal of listening on the radio.

The upside is saving a tenner and (I hope) being able to watch on match replay without worrying about the result!

Did anyone else notice that little kick Flint had at Mightens’ face after he threw him at the corner flag?

Great win, should be ok now.

Go a goal up and we win. Go a goal down and we lose.

Well done Sniffer, nice one!

It was a really important win, very hypothetical but if Rotherham won their 4 games in hand and cov won theirs we'd only be 3 off relegation still, thanks to that late Brum goal.

I think we'll be fine particularly given our run in but we might have to wait a while before it becomes official

Neither of those teams will win all their games in hand, thats why they are at the bottom. 48 points and we are safe, so we probably dont even need to win again. But hey lets not tempt fate, we only needed a few more points this time last season.
