25 Man Squad - ThePromisedLand - 23-10-2020
So we have to name a 25 man squad.
We currently ( if we include Grosicki ) have 33 players.
Both Mighten & Mbe Soh are Under 21 and hence can be excluded from calculations.
Which 6 would you leave out?
Hefele, Clough & Bong are probables?
But that still leaves 3 more - who is for ‘the chop’?

Really not 100% sure Sniff.
But we’ve still got enough players to field 3 teams.
And the squad in need of pruning whether we have to name 25 or not.

EFL riles on squad are pretty clear:
43.9 Squad Lists
43.9.1 Clubs shall be permitted to name up to a maximum number of Players in their Squad
List based on the following provisions:
(a) in respect of Championship Clubs, 25 Players of which a minimum of 8 must be a Home Grown Player;
43.9.3 Each Club shall submit its Squad List to The League:
(a) within 24 hours of the conclusion of the Summer Transfer Window; or
(b) such other date and time as may be notified by the Board.
Then again I have read that the rule is not applied this year. So a bit like the deadline Im not sure.

On the assumption that Shelley is regarded as too inexperienced at 19 I think we can safely assume that all 3 senior keepers ( inc Diallo ) will feature in the 25.
That would - if we assume that Hefele, Clough & Bong are excluded - still leave Hughton to nominate 3 more ( reduce to 2 if Grosicki transfer scrubbed ).
I assume that these will be taken from Darikwa, Jenkinson, Cafu, Bachirou & Ribeiro?
