Alex Mighten - Duncan Mckenzie - 06-01-2020

I was very impressed with this kid yesterday.

I would like to see him on the bench for our upcoming league games.

He looks a talent.

RE: Alex Mighten - Strawberry Avenger - 06-01-2020

Looked a compact unit with a bit of pace and a sense of industry.

A place on the bench at least after the Chelsea performance.

Also performing well (against tens of millions of Chelsea talent) was Yates (who also did Semedo's job by all accounts.)

SA.

Mighten excites me. It's a long time since I have said that about a player.

Just 17 and he's going to get better and better. I can see why we sold Appiah now.

RE: Alex Mighten - Colnago - 06-01-2020

I thought he was fantastic , would liked to have seen more from Johnson to be honest

RE: Alex Mighten - ozzyten10 - 06-01-2020

Johnson was compromised to help balance the team due to Chelsea having so much joy down the flanks. You will notice that not much danger came down our right side once he was shifted there and he did break well a couple of times with energy and drive. He is a talent and he should be on our bench as well as mighten until we get quality signings in.

RE: Alex Mighten - Joe Baker Legend - 06-01-2020

I watched the game yesterday, I also thought Alex had a good game, he was a menace every time he had the Ball.
What is his natural position, a winger or centre forward?
To me, I thought he is too small to be an out & out centre forward.
Looks very tricky, but we need more height in the centre of the pitch.

RE: Alex Mighten - jurgen rober - 06-01-2020

Can supposedly play either up front or as a winger. I know he is young, but may be a player to bring on down the left wing for the last 15-20 mins.

RE: Alex Mighten - Alf Garnett - 06-01-2020

I would like to see him out wide like an old fashioned winger running at people and skinning them and whipping crosses over.

RE: Alex Mighten - Tamzin26 - 06-01-2020

We said the same about Appiah, I would be surprised if he is sold for 8 mill next year, I wouldn't have minded if Appiah or mighten were on the subs bench this year

RE: Alex Mighten - Alf Garnett - 06-01-2020

Regarding Mighten and Appiah I think Mighten was judged to be the better prospect of the two so we sold Appiah.

RE: Alex Mighten - Salvatore Matrecano - 06-01-2020

The issue with youngsters is finding games where we a re comfortable enough to risk them, ideally bring him on when 2 goals up with 10 mins to go. It just doesnt happen that often! Would much prefer us to try Alex than waste another load of money on some european loanee thats never played in England before.

RE: Alex Mighten - Tamzin26 - 06-01-2020

They are both young and we dont know how far they will go, some players stay at the same level until everyone catches up or they suddenly keep going up to a world class level
