Our Track Record In The Loan Market - Duncan Mckenzie - 12-12-2019 It's absolutely abysmal, pathetic, embarrassing. Stretching back over the last 10 years we must have signed in the region of 40-50 loan players. Apart from Niky Shorey and Jack Colback I am actually struggling to come up with another one who can be counted as being successful. I am sure there are one or two I have forgotten about but we need to drastically improve in this department. It's been proved over the years that quality loan signings can go along way to getting a club out of the Championship and into the PL. We have failed miserably and massively. RE: Our Track Record In The Loan Market - Jean_claude_killy - 12-12-2019 Geddy played well as a loan player as did Jack Hobbs, Gary Gardner was good in his first spell, Aaron Ramsey was absolute class in his one game, Kris Boyd was half decent, Majewski was originally a loan, and Billy bought in Dex, Gunter and Osbourne in on loan who all played very well in keeping us up. What a reply JC! How do you remember this kind of stuff? I could only think of Boyd, but didnt post it cause i couldnt remember if he was good or just average. RE: Our Track Record In The Loan Market - Jasper Scarrott - 12-12-2019 True about Geddy, Hobbs and Radi, the rest so and so. Ramsey played only 5 games! Looking at the bigger picture I think Duncan has a very valid point. Certainly over the last 4 or 5 seasons the majority of our loans have been crap. RE: Our Track Record In The Loan Market - Username - 12-12-2019 Kris Boyd is the one who stands out for me, he was so much better than I expected. RE: Our Track Record In The Loan Market - Salvatore Matrecano - 12-12-2019 I cant be bothered to go back 10 years but last 5 years are: 2019/20 Muric Semedo Bostock Mir 2018/9 Dias Goncalves Colback Byram Janko Bonatini Pele Wague 2017/8 Dowell Ferderici Figueredo Pantillimon Tomlin Colback 2016/7 Pereira Kasami Dimitru Tshibola Teixeira McCormack 2015/6 Ebecilio OGrady Mendes Oliveira Williams Trotter Jokic Gardner Macheda RE: Our Track Record In The Loan Market - Jasper Scarrott - 12-12-2019 Shocking. RE: Our Track Record In The Loan Market - Dog and Bear - 12-12-2019 2016/7 Pereira Kasami Dimitru Tshibola Teixeira McCormack 2015/6 Ebecilio OGrady Mendes Oliveira Williams Trotter Jokic Gardner Macheda Good God. That makes for seriously grim reading. RE: Our Track Record In The Loan Market - Duncan Mckenzie - 12-12-2019 ^ How much evidence do we need? Absolute dog shit. RE: Our Track Record In The Loan Market - Paplane - 12-12-2019 Oliveira was good. Excellent in a Dougie team bereft of attacking players and so set up not to concede. RE: Our Track Record In The Loan Market - the jock - 12-12-2019 The loans we got this summer we might as well of just promoted u23s. No way semedo or Bostock are better than bridcutt and yacob RE: Our Track Record In The Loan Market - Username - 12-12-2019 ^spot on Jock. It was the same in January too. Signing players for the sake of it like some kid on Championship Manager. |
