Well I never expected to be typing this at the beginning of this season.

Nottingham Forest - Liverpool to be played on Sunday 20th March 2022.

At the world famous City Ground in Nottingham.

Oh yes.

Let's just go out and put on a good show - we are not expected to do anything BUT it's 11 v 11 at the end of the day and we are a decent side to at least give them a run for their money. Stranger things have happened.

RE: Nottingham Forest - Liverpool - Salvatore Matrecano - 17-03-2022

It truly is unbelievable. I am a bit worried about our injuries in defence now, but the way we are playing I genuinely think we can give them a decent game. Enjoy the day out and hopefully it wont be another 22 years until we play them again.

All I want is for us to try our best, give them and game and come away with no more injuries. Its a sad state of football when I think the push for playoff spot is more important that a cup quarterfinal.

The pressure is on them. Deep down I don't think they are relishing a trip to the City Ground right now.

They will rest a few probably a lot of those who will be away on internationals next week, expect them to play Milner, Origi etc, we can certainly give them a good game.

So assuming Mckenna is out and we already know that Cook and Lowe are out what do you think we will do line up wise.

Back 4.

Think we will go 4231 mate. Figs and Worrall at centre back, colback and Spence at Full back, garner and Yates with Johnson, zinc and maybe Lolley behind Davis.

I really don't think we should change our formation because of injury if we still have options available. If all 3 are out then I would like to see Wozza, Figs and either Mbe Soh if fit to play or Harbottle play alongside them. Then we stick to Colback on left and Spence on the right as wingbacks.

RE: Nottingham Forest - Liverpool - Salvatore Matrecano - 17-03-2022

He will stick with those who he trusts which means a back 4 and Yates dropping deeper to help out when not in possession - which I expect to be around 75% of the match!
