He isn’t Henderson class and I have a few worries but he would do a job, think his last full game was the Liverpool cup game? He did very well in that from what I remember.

Edit if memory serves he was playing well enough to keep Samba out for a few games. Then went on international duty so Samba took his place again which was a bit tough on him.

Disagree on Horvath, sorry.

But then, football is about opinions as they say.
And horvath didn’t really keep samba out the team on ability- he was used to make a point to samba after one of his ‘episodes’.

To suggest horvath is better than Hennessy is plain daft.
To suggest EM should gamble premiership status on him after a generation of waiting is utter lunacy lol

I think you could also say the same about a 35 year old career backup who has not played for 3 years. (I wouldn't want Horvath either!)

Short term loan until Henderson is fit perhaps?

Realistically Wassy, who?

Horvarth is an American international, Hennessy is a Welsh international, what goalkeeper has either of those two, have the same kind of pedigree that would be available on loan?

Can we even make another loan signing?

We've got scouts for that but I think we can do better. Horvath is backup US keeper, not exactly pedigree. Wales again not exactly top competition for places. Someone suggested Dubravka from Newcastle as an example. Not sure how available he is but would be perfect for short term.

Maybe we're lucky and Henderson is not badly hurt

RE: Injuries And Suspensions - Sausage Roll - 16-01-2023

Percy reckons Henderson will be out for 3-4 weeks. Could've been worse if that's the case.

Only 1 or 2 league games if that’s the case.
Not too bad

RE: Injuries And Suspensions - McDurban - 16-01-2023

That is a huge relief. In Coopers terms that's 2 weeks tops.

I’ll take that.

As said before some strapping and Wozza on goal kicks and we’re sorted hopefully.

If that is true then I think it's just about the best we could have hoped for.

I have no problem at all with Hennessey coming in for a couple of PL games.

That is why he was signed to be a number 2 and step in when needed.

A very experienced PL keeper.

RE: Injuries And Suspensions - Forest are Class - 17-01-2023

Henderson’s scans have shown a Grade 2 Tear in the Thigh

That is normally 4-6 weeks.

We probably need to sign another GK to cover Hennessey in that case.

Well if it is 6 weeks it rules him out of
Bournemouth
Leeds
Fulham
City
West Ham/EFL Cup Final

RE: Injuries And Suspensions - Forest1970 - 17-01-2023

If we were not thinking of buying Henderson at the end of the loan contract then we should consider going full hog on finding a first team keeper now as we all know our luck when it comes to injuries. I know they say 4-6 weeks but like I said our luck with injuries it could be longer and I personally have nothing against Hennessey but I don't think he should be our main keeper and if we want to stay in this league we need someone more reliable. But thats only my view.

Agreed, I think we really need to be sitting down with Henderson and discussing whether he wants to sign permanently and if not we need to be looking for someone of a similar level as a replacement.
