It didn't work well the last time we got an extended break ( international break)...

Dawson wasn't fit then but he will be for Luton and Derby.

We r putting too much weight on Dawson's presence on the pitch. We won nd played good games without him, I think we r missing Sow more...but more then anything we r not scoring enough goals this puts more pressure on the defence.
I said it above already, when two games were decided by a winning goal from Watson, I think that's a worry. Some might say it is a positive as goals are coming from all departments,  but the truth is that Lolley is a spent force, Grabban is missing chances more then scoring, Mir? He is just a kid trying to get hold of the league...for the rest... Adomah came up with a couple early on but that it, Ameobi ? He is no Antonio that's for sure, Carvalho? A crowd pleasure...when he is warming up on the touchline, his goal per minute ratio is worst then Adomah...did I miss anyone?...f**k the last game we had to rely on a defender running the whole length of the pitch to pull one back...is that enough show of how poor we r upfront...

Ye gads, no-one! I hope we can make it until Jan without him having to play again.

Mir? Bloody hell - this some kind of elaborate wind up?!

I appreciate you are annoyed at last couple of results and displays, but Lolley is a long way from being a spent force. He may not yet be hitting last seasons heights, but is still a good player. This kind of stick of such a talented, honest player is not constructive at all. He is off form-yes, but a spent force-very far from it. It is a matter of time before he gets back to his best.

Daws has been a massive loss, but I can see the point about Sow, even if I don't agree with it entirely. Just a matter of opinion.

RE: Dawson Worrall & Watson - Redgirl - 30-10-2019

How can you call Lolley a spent force? He’s hit a bad patch and he probably know it better than anyone. We’ve lost a couple of games, we knew it would happen, chance to go top then blow it, it’s the Forest way! Frustrating I know but to turn on the player is a little harsh.

I don’t agree re Dawson, it’s no coincidence that when he is not in the team we struggle to perform. Agree re Sow, harsh on Grabban, he’s carrying our forward line , must be a lot of pressure. Get behind the team!

RE: Dawson Worrall & Watson - Strawberry Avenger - 30-10-2019

Malta Red's comments on our midfield for the last year are so have usually been on the money. And with the injury to Sow...we can see Forest haven't been the same side. Dawson being out too has unsettled the back line (along with, note...Rib' being removed from LB.)

Worrall hasn't seemed as good without Dawson along side him. But then, he's trying to cover for Fig' and Jack Robinson. If they'd both done their jobs...

So, I agree with the comments above. Grabban. He's carrying the forward line.

Recruitment has gone deeper and higher quality in general with the squad overall.

However, the pivotal positions along the spine? They rear their heads once more. It's telling the positions Forest struggled in? CH. CM. Striker.

Wigan 1st half? No Dawson. Sow. Grabban.

Result? Mere shadow.

We clearly don't have equal or better cover. The last two games saw Forest transported back a year in time.

Recruitment has a job to do in January to fix this once and for all.

SA.

Worrall is average at best. Dont expect miracles. Dawson is head and shoulders the best centre back but at 35 years old there cant be much left. Like a number of other positions in the squad, centre back is an area we will need greater quality if we are to get promoted.

Red girl  I think that you are over inflating my comments. What I meant by saying that Lolley is spent force is that he is not the player that people valued over 20 million. Some more games like this, and his career average balance will start shifting on the average . Yes he had a very good three quarter of a season, but let's not forget that Huddersfield offloaded him for half a million. Who knows who is the real Lolley, the Huddersfield one or the last season one. It is just a question that only time can answer.
In regard Dawson, yes this year and even last we played well without Dawson, the problem will remain...if we control the midfield, the defence will suffer less, no matter who plays, and the strikers score more...the later is simply not happening...who's fault it is? ...again time can answer that question...in my opinion and from what I seen so far...Grabban is not the solution...same as Carvalho is not eighter...no chance that any of these is going get us promotion on their own...we need better...
