The reality is that we cannot rely on Sow unfortunately. If he is fit then great, he plays. If he's not then we have to learn to play and win without him. Someone else needs to step up, there are options. Someone needs to grab their chance.
Agree Sniff - but unfortunately Lamouchi’s options are limited.

Yep, its been obvious for a while now that he's our vital component to success. Such a shane that Colback got injured as he would've given us some battling qualities in the middle. But without either there's a big hole.

You know it's not like me to have a pop but it grinds my gears a bit the way Bridcutt and Yacob were omitted. We could sure do with one of them right now.

I always thought Bridcutt was a bit nicey nicey, neat and tidy but made no real impact. But I agree Yacob had everything we needed. His omission had to be something contractual or discipline related. His whole time at the club was bizarre. He took ages to get into the first team but when he did eventually get picked he performed well IMO. Then was dropped and we never saw him again. Maybe he just wanted one last pay day before he went back home and wasnt prepared to put the work in on the training ground? I don't know. But as we now know with the Murphy incident, things go off that we never get to hear about.

Just looked at the weather forecast for Cardiff. Heavy rain today, hail and showers tomorrow.

It's going to be a real test to go there, out battle a tough Cardiff side on a shit surface and get a win. Hope the players are up for it because it's going to be a real testing game.

Also, hats off to any Forest fans who are travelling tomorrow to watch the game. Cardiff on a Tuesday night is proper commitment to the cause.

They say you reap what you sow! However it appears that without Sow we do not reap any rewards! I know that most if not all of you guys think that our present transfer policy is poor but as a little Scottish dwarf once said "it is what it is Robin"

I think with what we have at present we should just scape the play-offs, however the way we are set up to play will struggle to make the final and the holy grail!

If we find ourselves still in purgatory (otherwise known as the EFL) for next season then the recruitment team just HAVE to buy quality over quantity but I an not sure that the will.

It's a bit of a joke that we're relying on Sow so heavily.

I wouldn't expect us to replace him with someone as good, but the fact that Yates - a kid still very much learning his trade who prob needs another year or two - is his cover is shocking really.

The drop from Sow to Yates is huge. We should have someone at least a bit more seasoned to fill in.

It's a shame that we didn't keep Geddy. I was happy to see him off the wage bill, bbut in this setup I think he'd offer us more than Yates.

Not sure about Geddy but any attacking additional midfielder would have been a bonus at this point. Semedo and Bostock's failure to establish themselves has been costly.

Geddy wanted to leave so cant do much there

Semedo bostock yacob bridcutt ...so much wastage here

Without Sow? Probably a draw at best or a loss.

SA.

Not a 'joke' but more likely part of the reality of shifting gears from a high wages turnover club to a well run club.

5th proves they are doing something(s) right.

Gueddy was spent and inconsistent at best.   He was on good money for not playing half the time.  That isn't sustainable to have (he was one of about 9+ players not playing half the time...) that.

Forest brought in the 'more' seasoned 'Bostock' but it didn't work out.  So we play Yates who is on the road to being 'that' player.

Just as Cash and Worrall were over the last 3 years.

Forest have been badly run in the past.  It takes time to shape a new reality.

For the life of me, I can't figure out how a former Leeds Captain couldn't do a job 'there' for Forest this season.  I don't 'get it.'

However, this, annecodal..., Bridcutt never looked happy when he arrived.  He looked unhappy, frustrated with a chip on his shoulder.  Not fact.  But an impression I have though I did like him as a Forest player on a pitch.  I remember (yes, with my own eyes...) seeing him ******* Matt Mills for not giving him the ball and 'booting' it long up field.  So, Liam had passion for doing things the right way.  ie.  Ball to feet.  And survived Aitor's cull.

But yes, Semedo (did offer some initial promise...), Bostock has had his chances and utterly failed to take them...and yes, Bridcutt....(somebody explain that one to me....) and dare we mention Yacob?

That's four DCMs.  5 is you include Gueddy.  6 if you include Watson (who looked on his way out last year...)

6.  (it would have been had The Coach not reforged Watson.) The club have got to do better in this area.  It has cost them the points they want to be 2nd.

But they won big on Sow.

SA.

Hopefully Sabri doesn't rest the full backs or anyone from the usual 1st 11!
