Interesting listening to Darren Ambrose on Talksport
He reckons Ipswich will finish top 10 this season on basis of how good McKenna is

Have his had a look at their squad, they will have to breach PSR to have a team to compete.

No matter how good Mckenna is you can't polish a turd.

We may not all have watched much prem football week in week out before being promoted, but everything gets turned up to 11, if they get Man City within the first couple of months for how attractive their football was they leak goals to them Cus of their speed their movement their space management etc

I know they're not in the Premier League but wasn't sure where else to post this, but wanted to post it as I think it's interesting.

Red Bull have purchased a minority stake in Leeds United and will be their shirt sponsor from next season. RB Leeds United incoming?

RE: The Premier League 2024/25 - ozzyten10 - 30-05-2024

RB had wanted us for ages. It was extremely close a number of times but the franchise element was seen to be too hard a sell to the supporters. We were seen by them as an ideal club to reinvigorate. They do things reasonably well but are in essence a business and have limitations. It will be interesting to see what happens…

Any Rumours about Pre Season?

It just gets worse and worse.

Carabao Cup changes for next season (reported not confirmed) to using a seeding system that will allow teams competing in Europe to not play each other until the later stages of the competition.

With the European competitions expanding, this will allow the bigger clubs to play youth teams with less chance of losing. On the other hand it means there's less chance of the other clubs progressing to the latter stages because the big clubs won't knock each other out.

McKenna staying at Ipswich and Maresca on the verge of joining Chelsea.

McKenna has played a blinder - 100k a week for a manager is absolutely astonishing

RE: The Premier League 2024/25 - Fumanchew - 30-05-2024

Spent all their budget on the manager then

RE: The Premier League 2024/25 - ozzyten10 - 31-05-2024

After what happened to us with cooper and this year with kompany - he will struggle. They have league 1 players on the whole. They have over achieved. The technical and physical aspect of the Premiership is light years ahead. I can see them winning a few early games but come October they will be struggling. The bet there is break clauses and this has been done to protect an asset on the off chance that he will be poached in the future.
