Never mind - just seen.

We'll know when we know - hopefully soon when he's back in the UK.

Nz news

Pretty gutting if true, got to assume it'll be Taiwo on Saturday at least and probably longer.

RE: Injuries And Suspensions - Sausage Roll - 26-03-2025

It's pretty vague, but yeah I'd agree we can probably rule him out of Saturday.

RE: Injuries And Suspensions - JohnG - 26-03-2025

Hopefully the Forest side will be the one that is correct, we could do without it being an extended run of games. I guess we might not get much clue out of the pre game pressers.
Recon it'd be Taiwo for at least Brighton and ManUtd either way, and see if getting more minutes in helps him get back closer to his old self.

No problem with Taiwo starting, what worries me is he is usually blowing out his arse after an hour and we don’t really have much alternative. Don’t say Jota.

Jota.

Jota can do it SM I am convinced of it.

It's difficult for him coming on for 15 minutes here and there.

His ex manager has said that Striker is his best position and he probably knows more than both you and me to be fair.

Proof is in the pudding of course but I personally have no problem with Jota replacing Taiwo once he is blowing out of his arse. I am also sure (but haven't checked) that Jota has scored more goals than Taiwo this season.

Yup - Jota 2 in the League and one in the Carabao Cup. Taiwo 1 each in the League and FA Cup.

Tails reporting for the athletic direct info from the club I assume that woods injury isn’t too serious but he’ll be assessed when back tomorrow. Taiwo has started in the cup and maybe proper opposition in Brighton might bring a little of that old taiwo swagger out I have no problem resting wood and replacing taiwo woth jota who had the last goal against them only a manner of weeks ago

Fingers crossed then. For the rest of the season it wouldn't be a bad thing to get Taiwo some more minutes and ideally for him to put in a good, confidence-building performance.

My only fear is that's just to keep other teams guessing but fingers crossed we see Wood on the bench on Saturday or if not maybe Wednesday.

I also suspect Elanga would be the replacement for Taiwo when he gets tired, perhaps rotating with Jota. Nuno has shown no inclination to play Jota up top so far, would be surprised if that changed on Saturday.

Not ideal timing this with three massive games in a week coming up, we have largely been lucky with injuries so far I guess so we can't complain. Really hope we can beat Brighton in 90 mins on Saturday.

The club will have seen the scans, so presumably just bruising and no cracked ribs.

RE: Injuries And Suspensions - Paplane - 26-03-2025

I cant believe the guy can play midweek, recover from an injury, fly from the opposite side of the world amd be ready to play on Saturday. My guess is he won't feature at all.

Was his ex manager of the view that he could be a striker in the Premier League or the Portuguese though? They are very different prospects?

He has started games and done very little to show he’s capable of it from what I’ve seen.

This isn’t a dig and I genuinely hope you’re right!!
