We pitch Derby into the blackness

Stags won, Lincoln won, Derby lost

A big phewwwwwww
One if our worst second halves....and we won !!!!
Not even a proper shot on goal...and we won !!!
Our last two goals...one an auto goal and the other z penalty ... must be a record...
I take the points, but we rode our luck big time ...at least to make up for some misfortune we might have had in the past weeks...
But CH must be scratching his head... we are creating nothing and it's up to the defence that we are getting some points...
Forget the fancy names , but we need some real change in our final third ... I doubt that we are going to be lucky as today again...

One of the reasons if not the main reason we are not looking good in the final third is because of our full backs. The quality of our full backs passing and crossing is absolutely dire.

Samba - two match winning saves, occasionally erratic
Christie- poor crossing
Ribeiro-poor crossing, had a tough game overall
Figuerido-excellent, had to cover Worrall a couple of times when caught under it
Worrall-did well, composed on the ball
Yates-needs to be better on the ball but played a couple of decent first time passes, especially the one in the build up to the penalty
Sow-amazed he’s still fit, “sow” important to how we play
Cafu-occasional glimpses of quality, needs to do it more
Knockaert-wasteful
Ameobi-barely noticed he was playing
Grabban-excellent all round play, shame he doesn’t get better service

Lolley-occasional decent touch
Arter-did ok
Taylor- one terrible shot (he didn’t mean it), nothing else of note

Excellent result against a decent side, all credit to the manager

Grabban excellent!!! ... he did f**k all and nearly 'missed the sitter' ... he never beats the defender, rarely worrying the opposition defence ... he even tends to hold up of play, cause when he gets the ball upfront he tends to hold it and go back to midfield  stalling our break ...we need better...much better from our main striker...

Crossing from Rebeiro today was the worst I seen for ages. Christie usually throws a couple of decent crosses. The problem is that we font have targets up front. Grabban is not going thd job and now Taylor has been frozen on the bench. We need a big man like when Billy brought Adebola. We are crying for that sort of player, at least to scare the opposition... our two strikers are so easily '  controlled'..

RE: Preston - Nottingham Forest - Strawberry Avenger - 02-01-2021

Wouldn't surprise me if Hughton brings in a target man striker.

Fullbacks and winger crossing very weak.

SA.

RE: Preston - Nottingham Forest - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 02-01-2021

They are starved of quality Malta because our crosses into the box are dire. We could have Harry kane up front and it wouldn't make any difference until we have full backs who can put a quality ball into the box.

The full backs are our weak link in attack not Grabban, not Taylor or our lack of an ACM although a fully fit fired up Freedman would help though.

Good to see Samba & Grabban - after receiving brickbats - receiving the plaudits.

RE: Preston - Nottingham Forest - Marinakis Red - 02-01-2021

A huge 3 points, you do not want to be in the drop zone for long, a couple of weeks to prepare for millwall now, we should have no interest in that cup game against Cardiff.

RE: Preston - Nottingham Forest - Salvatore Matrecano - 02-01-2021

Well done Forest. League table looks a damn sight better tonight.

Just realised we are exactly at the half way point of the season, assume we have played everyone once now. A repeat performance has us on 44 points would finish us in bottom place last season. Food for thought, improvement still needed.

RE: Preston - Nottingham Forest - Floridared - 02-01-2021

Over the last 6 games we are 8th in the form guide and going up.

RE: Preston - Nottingham Forest - PsychoStanleyStone - 02-01-2021

25 points from Top
21 points from Automatic
15 points from 6th

7 wins from Wembley glory

and can't stop scoring!
