RE: Nottingham Forest - Birmingham City - Strawberry Avenger - 26-12-2020 Very pedestrian. Could do with an injection of pace on the wing...ACM and up front. Areas to consider in January. SA. RE: Nottingham Forest - Birmingham City - ThePromisedLand - 26-12-2020 At least Preston scored in 6th minute of stoppage time so not all bad today. Brian Clough needed a long run way to escape the 2nd division and it didn't kick start until Taylor joined him. SA. RE: Nottingham Forest - Birmingham City - zicorice - 26-12-2020 5 points in 3. Clean sheet. Didnt lose. Some positives. It was a terrible game - clearly - but at least we got something from it. We defended OK. But keeping the ball seemed beyond us. One observation re 442. No point having 2 up top if one of the decides to join our own back four. Theres dtopping off onto space and then there's that! I wish people would stop blaming the manager every time and just consider our squad is just very very average. Hahaha, you've just never understood what I meant. I didnt think it was amazing, just that our previous team was so bad we needed to sign a whole new one regardless. Sadly, we do not appear to have done this well. Keeps Forest within touching distance of the lower mid table. Buying time until reinforcements come in January. A couple of wins would make a massive difference. A win for the next game would be a big help. SA. Suggests lower mid table as the next immediate step. Non of those teams within touching distance are anything special. And if we can keep up the recent points return over 3 games then we can close the gap at the teams above. If we're under Lamouchi the pretender...it would be clutching at straws. Under Hughton I have full confidence the next 4-6 weeks will see more improvements. This will take time. We don't have the attacking players ahead of Yates or Sow. We need faster wider players and a more creative midfielder. SA. RE: Nottingham Forest - Birmingham City - Strawberry Avenger - 26-12-2020 Yeah. Nobody is happy with how things are. It's a product of indecisive leadership after Lamouchi bottled it at the back end of last season. Bringing someone in half way through to mop up that mess was never going to be a quick fix. SA. RE: Nottingham Forest - Birmingham City - stirred - 26-12-2020 A characteristic of adherents of The Hughton Delusion appears to be to claim our squad is really poor, so it can’t be the managers fault that our performances and results are poo. I think we have a top half squad, so can one of the Believers tell me 12 clubs who have a better squad than we do? |
