Can't help it I'm afraid. I know it won't go down too well on this forum but I'm just not entirely convinced by these owners.

All of sudden there is a lot of negativity on this site towards the owners. Personally I don't get it. We make a huge loss every season even before Covid. We have improved each season they took over. This transfer window we have brought six players in. Most of those are generally thought to be good additions. We have negotiated top dollar for a full back with one years experience in the championship. They have backed the manager. People come on here and say we should sign Jed Wallace as if Millwall would sell him to us for a realistic fee. Some people need to get real.

I wouldn't say there is a lot. Just the same 2 or 3 posters who are negative about absolutely everything. It does get a tad tiring at times.

Clearly aiming that at me. Negative about everything? No, i question things from time to time mate, that's all. I know certain view points go against the grain on here, it's almost forbidden to dare question things.

That works both ways. Constant negative posting can be questioned too. If you put the hours in and paid the bills like I do then you would probably get a tad tired of negative posting as well. Perhaps some need to readjust their expectation levels and accept that we are just an average Championship club at the moment playing in an empty Stadium with very little income and hemorrhaging a shit load of money every week. That is the reality of the situation. Under the circumstances I would say that we are doing pretty well.

We can question the manager, players, scouting team even the fans, but why cant we question the owners?

That's all i do, praise where its due, and criticise  if i feel its justified, or to see how others on this forum feel about things, and help me understand or change my mind. Forums would be rubbish if we were all on the same page, wouldnt it?

So far the owners have not promised anything, and think we can all agree they have not delivered thus far. Made mistakes with managers and recruitment side, back to losing lots of money (pre covid) have sold over £60m in talent (including our best player from last season), and spent nowhere near that, we still await on news of the new stadium, if and when that will happen (the council is working, so when will go to them again?) also the lack of interviews from anyone higher than Sabri, is not reassuring, what are their hopes for the new season...we dont even get a thank you for supporting us in these crucial times, surely can take 5 minutes to talk to the fans?

Yet we have improved year on year, and this time have stuck with a manager (i mean first team coach), so lets see how that plays out, as of yet the City Ground plans look exciting, and the Academy remains successful, and if we do perform better than last season, then that will at least mean the play offs.

All in all, after 3 years, i remain cautious but still back the new owners

Absolutely nothing wrong with questioning the team's performance and the owner's strategy, but some of the posts I read on here just seem to be negative for the sake of it.

Who said we can't question the owners?

Don't recall anyone ever saying that. Anyone got a link?

I dont mind you questioning some of the decisions, I think perfectly valid as mistakes have been made. It is the phrase highlighted that is over simplistic. Running costs of the club were £50.9M in 2019, Of which wages were £36M. Some of that is their own doing but to imply the owners are putting nothing back is wrong.

RE: Transfers In/Out Summer 2020 - Marinakis Red - 08-09-2020

In all honesty I think fans have a right to be negative about team performance considering we have won 4 competitive in 19 games since the end of January, that is not being negative for negatives sake. Not winning in the last 7 competitive games. That is alarming. That is my opinion of course.

Let's hope we buckle the trend starting Saturday with a much needed win and breed some positivity with a good performance on the pitch. Let the football do the talking.
